Here at Make Tracks we take your dogs out on hikes in beautiful Central Oregon while you're at work.  We take up to twelve dogs on two hour hikes in the forests surrounding Bend Oregon. We also offer a number of other services which can be explored using the links to the left.

Make Tracks has contracted with the Forest Service to provide the hiking service. We have a special use permit that allows a maximum of twelve dogs to be off leash in a designated area. This wilderness area is a dog pack’s paradise where they are free to explore and play to their heart’s content. There are also several water breaks and trips to the stream.

We take the utmost care of your dogs, so for the first few hikes we keep your dog on-leash to ensure the safety of your dog and the other dogs on the hike.  We also have a meet and greet with every dog before taking them out on the trail to ensure their compatibility.  We test for aggressive behavior, stamina, and responsiveness.  After the meet and greet, we place your dog in a pack with dogs of similar age, energy levels, and stamina.

Make Tracks also takes advantage of modern technology to further monitor your dog on the trail. We use a Garmin GPS tracking system that will tell us exactly where a dog is in a 7 mile radius. It will also map the route your dog has taken, and tell you how much farther he has walked than the hiker that day!
